How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?
I started CardsCafebyViolet when I was 6, and when we first went into quarantine during the COVID-19 pandemic. I was spending lots of time at home, drawing and doing art. One day, I told my mom and dad that I wanted to start a "card business". So, I started focusing on lots of art, my dad helped me design a logo, and my mom helped me sign up for an Etsy shop!
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?
Sometimes I feel sad and upset when I work hard on a drawing, but then the card isn't very popular. I've learned that I can put those cards on sale, or share them with my friends.
What are your future plans for the business?
I want to improve my drawing skills as an artist and get more creative. I want to get better at drawing people.
Any advice for other girls starting a business?
Be creative, learn from your mistakes, and YOU GOT THIS!
