Questionnaire

How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?
I was 8 years old when I started my business. It all started when my mommy seen me make 4 layer rubber band stretch bracelets as well as alphabet bead bracelets on the couch without looking at any directions. I knew how to do the knotting and tying on my own without any help at all. I am also an artist and love bright colors. We figured since the type of jewelry I like mostly has bright colors and the fact that I’m an artist, that this would be the perfect business.
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?
The biggest mistake I ever made was saying negative things to myself. I have learned to say positive things to myself and to keep trying and I will eventually get it right. We as girls have to learn how to motivate ourselves when nobody else will.
What are your future plans for the business?
My future plans is to expand to not only selling essentials to serve a reminder to never give up in life but to inspire kids and adults in other ways. I will be instructing vision Journal workshops with kids ages 7-11. A vision journal is a visual representation of the things you want to accomplish or acquire. I created a vision journal to have a constant reminder of what I am working towards. I also, will host events to feed the homeless and inspire them with my story.
Any advice for other girls starting a business?
My advice to other girls is to pursue exactly what makes you feel happy. Don't do what anyone else wants you to do. True happiness lies in the eyes of you not anyone else.
