How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?:
I was 12 years old when I started my business. My idea was created from being a victim of bullying. My parents told me to speak up but at times I was scared. So I had to find a super power and I discovered it in lip gloss. It made me feel confident to speak out.
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?:
My biggest mistake was advertising my lip gloss to friends before I made it. It takes a lot of research, planning and testing before you can sell it to customers.
What are your future plans for the business?:
To write a children's book series called "Glossy Pals Club" to teach girls to speak out about issues they may face. My first book of the series launched August 2020.
Any advice for other girls starting a business?:
Believe in your product, have fun and give back to a good cause or non profit.
