Questionnaire

How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?
I started the novel in 2018 as a middle schooler, a year after my professional acting debut at Ford’s Theatre in DC. I returned to writing during the pandemic and wrapped up the novel as a high school freshman.
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?
The biggest mistake I made was marketing it to the wrong age. In the preliminary stages of this novel, I wrote it for others my age rather than children. I learned that novels of inspiration, conquering fears, and representation in my style are best geared to a younger age group, as they have the most potential to learn from it.
What are your future plans for the business?
I plan to continue to promote and expand Kofi Chronicles' reach. In addition, a second novel is in the works.
Any advice for other girls starting a business?
In starting a business, remember that the only person who can take initiative is you. Receiving help in getting it started is perfectly fine, but to enforce sustainability you must have a real passion for what you are doing!
