Questionnaire

How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?
Jazmin started her business idea at the age of 7, and fully launched into entrepreneurship and business marketing and execution at the age of 9. Jazmin has been testing slime recipes and types since then, now perfecting her recipe for sales. She has found an amazing use for Slime for Special Needs students inspired by her own family members. Jazmin enjoys making a product that people love, teaching others how to do something they never have, and sharing her slime as a multi-purpose use for kids, adults, and special needs.
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?
The biggest mistake Jazmin has made was of course learning different recipes and consistencies, learning what works, what doesn’t and measuring. Jazmin typically in the past didn’t measure her slime ingredients and always came out great, but as demand grew, she needed to expand and be precise as she needed to do bulk orders. Jazmin now has correct measurements and a big mixer to help with her business too.
What are your future plans for the business?
Jazmin’s future plans for business are to lead the way for her school and leave a legacy at Livingston Elementary. Jazmin has brought the TREP$ program to her school and will be teaching and leading other young entrepreneurs this year as we launch our new program. Jazmin has been working various angles of business from fundraisers, to rec camps, to local farmers markets, slime conventions, flea markets, and her teacher marketing her on social media for local communities too. Jazmin and her teacher completed a Local TV News interview about business, Slimeologists, and her goals. She invited her teacher to join in on the interview too.
Any advice for other girls starting a business?
Just do it! Be inspired, do what you love, and it won’t feel like work. Be creative and have fun! Learn from your experiences so you can make changes to make it better.
