How old were you when you started and where did your idea come from?
I was 13 years old when I started my business: Sydney Day Design. I have always been a creative artsy person, and in the summer of 2017 I started experimenting with my lettering skills. When my skills grew and I improved, I decided to start Sydney Day Design!
What was the biggest mistake you made and what did you learn from it?
The biggest mistake I have make while getting my business started was when I was first starting. I was very excited about my new business and dove straight in. I designed like crazy and released cards that I ended up not liking. I prioritized timing over quality. I have learned from my mistake, and now spend lots of time carefully crafting each design I sell!
What are your future plans for the business?
I would love to continue presenting myself to the public by attending business fairs, and growing the social following for my business. In the future I would love to start having my designs in small shops around DC!
